Sean O'Keefe Survives Crash
Injured but alive

In a previous article, we reported that
Sean O'Keefe may have perished in an airplane crash that killed Alaskan senator Ted Stevens, among others.
To paraphrase Mark Twain, the rumors of O'Keefe's death were exaggerated.
O'Keefe survived the plane crash, albeit with broken bones, which includes a broken pelvis. His son, also aboard, suffered injuries as well. However, both father and son are expected to recover.
Gen. Thomas Katkus, adjutant general of the Alaska Army National Guard, told MSNBC that it took almost 12 hours for crews to reach the scene Tuesday morning because of “weather extremes” that limited rescue flights to one at a time. Once they arrived, they had to use swimming crews to reach the plane.
