Tomorrow's World Live hosts Space Tourism
Ascender to appear at the Space Tourism Pavillion
by Peter Wainwright
The Space Tourism Pavillion will be a feature at this year's Tomorrow's World Live exhibition, organised and sponsored by the BBC Tomorrow's World programme, the UK's most popular science and technology show.
Fronting the travel section of the show, the Pavillion will prominently feature a 1/2 scale model of the Ascender passenger spaceplane being developed by Bristol Spaceplanes Ltd, and will be hosted by representatives from BSL as well as Wildwings, UK agents for Space Adventures, and Space Future.
A guest astronaut is also expected to put in an appearance and talk on the subject of space tourism and one of Space Adventure's 'Journey to the Edge of Space' Mig flights is being offered as a prize as part of the Tomorrow's World Live event.
The exhibition takes place from June 30th to July 4th at the Earl's Court exibition centre in London and will feature over 100 exibitors across every aspect of technology as well as an inventors fair.
